The Medina County Sheriff's Office now uses energetic breaching to safely enter barricaded buildings using a controlled explosion that avoids harming those inside—this method comes from observations made across the country.

SWAT Commander Ryan Gibbons said the tool is not as dramatic as movie explosions—ensuring a safer approach to difficult situations.
