About this event
Interested in a career in land conservation and stewardship? Not sure how to get started? Come hear from two local conservationists as they discuss how they did it—and how you can too.
Ken Schneider OC '89 and Garrett Ormiston both work in the Natural Areas program at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, which protects more than 12,500 acres in 64 nature preserves across northeast Ohio. Garrett and Ken will discuss their (markedly different) paths into conservation, answer your questions, and discuss opportunities at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History including seasonal work, volunteering, and the Kirtlandia internship program which places college students with museum professionals for a summer of hands-on work that culminates with a poster presentation at season's end.
Lunch will be provided. RSVP in Handshake.
Listed by Oberlin College and Conservatory (Localist), gathered by the Medina events calendar.
