- ➤ Residents in Brunswick are gearing up for a busy holiday season as Juan Hernandez’s red car lit with colorful lights kicks off a series of local events, including a pet photo fundraiser on Dec. 6, a Christmas concert on Dec. 5, and a luncheon for seniors on Dec. 11. Brunswick High School students were named to the Teen Ambassador Board and earned academic honors, and a Hinckley police chief will retire on Dec. 19 + these updates show the community’s festive and active spirit. - ➤ Gravestone restoration expert TaMara Conde came from Massachusetts to Medina this fall to repair markers in Old Town Graveyard—including the headstone of George Wilcox that shows it was erected by public donations. - ➤ The city has hired a consultant to hire a contractor to finish restoring the former Sunoco property—426 W. Liberty St.—after state notices showed no further action was needed on the waste oil tank removed by Campbell Oil.
