Medina County Nature Art Fest took place November 8th and 9th at Oenslager Nature Center in Sharon Township and featured 26 artists who displayed nature-inspired art such as paintings, birdhouses, pottery, and photos—visitors had a chance to talk with the artists about their work.
Next year’s fest will return in the second week of November 2026.
Medina City Schools is studying AI to see how it will affect teaching—teachers will attend sessions during January professional development day.
The district also hosted its annual Coats for Kids Express drive and collected over 500 winter coats for families.
Medina Council President John Coyne and members are researching ways to help residents in need get food during the holiday season after warning that government channels might delay supplies.
Mayor Dennis Hanwell said local groups +Grace Church and Medina Hospital+ have already donated funds, and the council will reconvene before Thanksgiving to finalize the plan.
