Lucy Stack became the new Habitat for Humanity homeowner in Brunswick when she received keys to Habitat’s 56th home after logging over 250 volunteer hours; local leaders and neighbors celebrated her open house—despite initial zoning concerns.

The event marked a milestone in Habitat’s work and brought together community supporters who welcomed her warmly.

Medina’s Giving Place has donated nearly $491,400 to 43 local charities with help from 100+ volunteers during its 2½ years of operation.

The resale store offers holiday items and will open for sales Sundays starting Nov. 16 while donations run Monday to Saturday, and Dec. 6 is the last day for Christmas donations + managers are seeking new volunteers.

Medina officials are setting up an application process for groups to use the city or America 250 logo on items (businesses will pay a $250 fee while nonprofits are exempt but must complete a form).

City leaders say the process will help track logo use and protect the city’s name.
