- ➤ Medina approved a $2,000 donation to Wayne County nonprofit Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry after two deer from its archery program were given to local food banks — Mayor Hanwell said the donation will help cover processing costs and encourage more participation in the program. - ➤ Foundations Worldwide Inc. donated baby changing tables to the Medina Community Recreation Center after donating a universal changing station last month— the new tables will be installed in the family changing room with help from school maintenance staff and custom signage from the County Board of Developmental Disabilities. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Medina Board of Education and city finance committee approved a plan to apply for state grant funds for a 7,200-square-foot turf field house addition at the Community Rec Center — the project is estimated to cost $3.3 million. The Rec Center has pledged up to $500,000 and will seek extra funds from local sponsors, with the project to be shelved if the grant is not awarded. Cleveland.com
