Main Street Medina’s fourth and final Ladies Night Out will take place on Oct.

23 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The historic South Town District will become a magical witch-themed setting where over 25 local businesses host contests and fun events.

Medina was named one of the Nicest Places in America by Reader’s Digest after its Promise of Christmas initiative hosted 200 North Carolina hurricane victims in January — the event provided dinner, cash envelopes, and toys to help those in need.

Eighth graders at Claggett Middle School held a walkathon on Oct.

3 to raise funds and supplies for the Medina County Dog Shelter and Medina SPCA. They raised over $500 in cash and donations and also provided artwork to brighten shelter walls — a clear sign of local community support.

Medina City Schools is inviting nominations from the community for its Hall of Fame Class of 2025, and submissions are due by November 3.

The committee will choose one nominee per category (Academic/Career/Life, Athletic, Cultural/Performing Arts, Special Honorary Achievement and Major Contributions) and will hold the next Hall of Fame induction in spring.
