EDUCATION NEWS

  • Local students earned significant scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall with several Medina Seniors receiving merit awards while Ohio Wesleyan University will stage Macbeth starting Oct. 30 at the Chappelear Drama Center — Medina student Nic Laurence plays Macduff, and Medina native Neo Sim earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech this summer.  Cleveland.com

  • Medina native and Penn State quarterback Drew Allar suffered a season-ending left ankle injury against Northwestern on Saturday, Oct. 11, as the Lions lost (22-21); Coach James Franklin (confirmed the injury) said the senior will miss the rest of the season.  News 5 Cleveland
