  • On Sept. 28, board member Paul Wood led a guided tour at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina with 30 Friends of the Cemetery to show 28 years of restoration work, including updates to the Soldiers Mound, chapel, baby section, and mausoleum—projects that involved over $3 million in support. The tour highlighted the ongoing care and preservation efforts that help keep the cemetery a valued local landmark.  Cleveland.com

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Sun newspaper invites Medina pet owners to share their pet stories and photos for Howl-oween—submissions should include the community name for added local context. Ann Norman, the Sun editor, will feature selected stories soon.  Cleveland.com

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Baldwin Wallace University students from Medina and Brunswick traveled to Ireland on a 10-day study abroad seminar, where they joined walking tours, planted apple trees, and learned Gaelic games—gaining hands-on experience in travel writing and social impact. Medina’s Izzy Kurka now joins the Yellow Jackets women's basketball team after a record-setting season, and local cadet Phillip Barnes earned gold star academic recognition at The Citadel.  Cleveland.com
