Downtown Medina saw three major fires in the 1800s that destroyed many wooden buildings and business areas.
The fire in 1877 led the city council to form an organized fire department that purchased its first steam engine and built the Town Hall and Engine House.
The restored Hallock Model T Chemical Fire Engine, built in Medina and once used to fight fires, turned heads today at Spirits of the Past near the historic I.O.O.F. building with Charlie Ramer portraying Macy M.
Hallock Sr. as guests explored its heritage.
