- ➤ Medina's Friends of the Cemetery will host a walkabout at Spring Grove Cemetery on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.—the tour will include stops at landmarks such as the 1884 chapel and Civil War soldiers mound among others. The free event follows 28 years of care that has brought nearly $2.5 million in improvements to the cemetery and Old Town Graveyard. Cleveland.com
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Medina City Schools announced focus groups on Sept. 24 and Oct. 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Medina High School Media Center and a virtual session on Sept. 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to gather community input for a strategic plan that will shape the district’s direction for the next three to five years—an online survey will follow in early October. Registration is open for our annual “Step Up to Prevent Suicide” Awareness Walk, happening on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Medina Public Square. This free afternoon community walk coordinated by the Medina County Coalition for Suicide Prevention brings together individuals, families, and organizations across the county to raise awareness, honor those we’ve lost, and support those who are struggling.
