Local businesses gathered at Mapleside Farms in Brunswick for the annual Business at the Barn event, showcasing interactive displays, food vendors, and community giveaways & a donation drive collected by the Chamber with That Place for Teens.
Attendees enjoyed engaging exhibits from 108 local exhibitors.
🎭 Culture
Friends of the Cemetery is hosting its fifth annual photo contest this fall for amateur photographers to capture serene scenes at historic cemeteries from Sept.
1 through Oct. 25, with winning entries to be shown at the Virginia Wheeler Martin Family History and Learning Center from November through Feb.
🎓 Education
Medina County Career Center held a ribbon cutting on Aug.
18 for a new $5 million construction trades building built with Ken Cleveland Foundation funds. The center now can enroll 125 students in trades + will repurpose its original building for welding classes next year.
Ohio State University released its summer dean's list and graduate list, honoring Brunswick, Hinckley and Medina students (among top achievers).
Bowling Green State University also recognized local Carlos Medina on its dean's list for Education and Human Development.
