Medina’s historic Interurban Station was moved from South Court Street to behind the McDowell-Phillips House Museum on Prospect Street late on August 18—its final journey completed with careful maneuvering by two forklifts and a low-boy trailer—ensuring the building is preserved for future generations.
Medina school district officials began work on a new strategic plan over the summer and will seek community input through focus groups and a survey starting after Labor Day weekend—Superintendent Aaron Sable said parents, staff, and Mayor Hanwell will have a chance to share their views as the district plans its future.
Major health organizations released updated blood pressure guidelines to encourage earlier treatment and lifestyle changes for better heart and brain health—replacing the 2017 recommendations by urging lower sodium intake, regular exercise, and prompt medication for stage 2 hypertension.
