Main Street Medina launched its Holidays Sponsorship Campaign to fund holiday decorations for Uptown and Public Square and is accepting donations and sponsorships (starting at $250) for plans extending through 2026, 2027, and 2028, with a goal of raising $100,000.
🎓 Education
The Medina Community Citizens Police Academy (16th session, max 25 participants) begins on Sept.
23 and runs every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. until Dec. 9, offering locals a free chance to learn about policing from three local departments with eligibility requirements.
🏥 Health
Today, mosquito samples in Medina County tested positive for West Nile Virus at five sites including Brunswick, Medina, Sharon Township, Lodi, and Medina Township.
No human cases have been reported and the Health Department advises residents to use repellent and remove standing water.
