CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Medina police said that on Friday, July 25, after a broken car window on Circle Drive and a shooting near Baxter Street and Lafayette Road left an injured man with two gunshot wounds taken to a hospital, a man riding an electric bike—David J. Oberacker, 33—was detained and is charged with felonious assault for causing serious harm. FOX 8

Weber Riverside Park on July 4 in honor of a young man and will launch four more park areas in 2025 — Rivendell Nature Preserve with a private cutting on Sept. 19 and public access Sept. 20-21, Shotwell Gardens at Lake Medina with a private ribbon cutting on Oct. 24 and public access on Oct. 25-26, a phased public access for the former Chippewa Lake Amusement Park later this fall, and Liverpool Meadows Nature Preserve before year’s end.
