Medina’s restored Hallock Model T fire truck will join the Spirits of the Past event from Sept.

10 to 12, a three‐night living history tour of the Historic Public Square that will feature local displays (including a genealogy exhibit at the county library).

Medina City Council’s Finance Committee approved a $12,000 annual donation to the local SPCA at a July 13 meeting, as Councilor Chet Simmons recommended the measure to support animal care from cats to other species — separate from Medina Meow Fix donations.

Medina plans to begin environmental assessments on South Elmwood parking lot soon using a $242,360 grant from the Brownfield Remediation Assessment Program and approved a services agreement with T&M Associates to check for potential contamination and support improvements such as expanding parking from 40 to 81 spaces plus drainage upgrades.
