Alleycats & Aristocats, the Medina County cat rescue, will host a reopening celebration featuring cat yoga classes on Sunday, June 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Recovery Center of Medina will reopen Sérénité Culinary Institute in late July or early August with a one-year training program that partners with local businesses and is seeking a new executive chef—this comes after a three-month restructuring following the February closure and aims to create a lasting model for culinary training.

Local college students earned academic honors in spring 2025 as Miami University recognized many Medina County students on the dean’s list, and American International College and Baldwin Wallace University celebrated local graduates with special distinctions.

The achievements include awards for high academic performance and recognition on academic all-district teams.

Paint & Sip: Tropical Drink Tray Workshop
