The Medina County SPCA needs foster families and adopters to ease shelter crowding during kitten season.

The facility at 8790 Guilford Rd in Seville welcomes visits Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and seeks volunteers and donations.

The Medina County Park District finished new steps at Lake Medina’s Route 18 entrance and will add more upgrades later this summer (including a new kayak launch and repaved lower trail) around Labor Day.

The improvements are part of the park’s master plan.

Medina County will host Strawberry Arts Fest — a family-friendly event with over 80 art vendors, children’s activities, raffle drawings and food trucks on Sunday, June 28 at historic Medina square from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
