Brunswick Council approved a $10,000 donation to support the Imagination Library program after a funding cut threatened free monthly books for over 6,000 local children.

At its May 18 meeting, the council also honored Huntington Elementary first-graders for regional art wins.

A bright fireball meteor lit up the night sky Monday night over northern Ohio and southern Michigan at about 10:42 p.m. Reports noted the meteor stayed visible for about seven seconds and fragmented as it streaked overhead — officials are analyzing its trajectory.
