  • Medina police are looking for a white man (roughly 30 years old, 6 feet tall with blonde hair and a short scruffy beard) accused of trying to abduct a 10-year-old boy from the Forest Meadows Apartments playground on Reagan Parkway earlier this week after the child broke free.  Cleveland.com

  • Brood 17 cicadas are emerging after 17 years underground, and millions are expected to appear across a dozen states — including Northeast Ohio. This natural event may soon be noticeable in local yards and outdoor spaces.  WKYC

  • Medina County Fire Chief Larry Walters rescued a woman from a fire last fall and is being honored this week for his heroic actions. Local officials recognized his quick response in saving a life.  WKYC
  • Medina Fire Chief Larry Walters was honored with the Ohio Fire Service Valor Award for his role in rescuing a woman trapped in a burning home in York Township last fall. On Oct. 23, he shed part of his gear and slid through a small basement window to help the victim escape as responders worked to control the fire.  News 5 Cleveland
