Fox Tale Sanctuary is expanding its facilities after a private donation lets the nonprofit add 200 square feet to every fox enclosure and create a secure U-shaped play yard as more captive-bred foxes are surrendered by pet owners.
Lake, a rescued silver fox found mid-April after suffering a broken toe, is now almost fully recovered at the sanctuary which has grown from 17 to 31 foxes.
💼 Business
Rito’s Bakery, a family-run business for 60 years, will close on May 31, and the Djurin family will open Schnitz Ale Bakery & Market in the same space, adding Eastern European pastries while keeping some Rito’s favorites.
Jim Rito will train the new staff before retiring as the family marks the end of its legacy.
