Friends of the Cemetery will host a historical walk at Spring Grove Cemetery on Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m. The tour will share local stories and will be followed by an open house at the restored mausoleum (accessible for strollers and wheelchairs) sponsored by Commercial and Savings Bank.
AAA reported that gas prices in Ohio jumped nearly 40 cents in one day and were almost $1 higher than last week.
Price changes could affect local fuel costs in the coming days.
City Engineer Patrick Patton said rising concrete costs increased the annual repair program budget to $700,000 (up $50,000 from last year).
The city will use $650,000 from street funds and $50,000 from water funds to replace concrete panels as needed across Medina.
Medina Township trustees discussed installing extended safety netting at the baseball complex following a foul ball injury to a spectator on April 23, but rejected the idea because the estimate was roughly $300,000 (cost concern).
