  • Medina Chorus celebrated nearly 100 years of music with concerts on April 25 and 26 that featured a world premiere sea shanty tribute to Lexi Cerio. The group will join the Medina Community Band (at the Square gazebo) on July 17 to perform patriotic favorites.  Cleveland.com

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in northeast Ohio continue to climb as drivers in Akron pay $3.91 per gallon and those in Cleveland pay $3.93 (after jumps of 28 and 22 cents respectively), putting local motorists on alert for near-$4 prices soon.  WKYC

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tyler Martin, a Medina County actor and director, returned from New York to help local students build their skills in theater. He teaches at local schools, directs productions at Brecksville and Buckeye Community Theatre, and works with TRIO to support aspiring performers.  Cleveland.com
