  • At its April 28 meeting, Brian Feron from the Medina County Historical Society presented Mayor Dennis Hanwell an award—recognizing Medina's work in preserving the World War II war bond building now at the McDowell-Phillips House.  Cleveland.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Medina will open a new Meijer store at 9 a.m. on May 8 at 1105 N. Court Street and plans to launch the Acme Fresh Market by the second week in July at 1225 South Court Street—additionally, the city installed an electric vehicle fast charger in the City Hall parking deck and will begin pool season pass sales on May 1.  Cleveland.com
  • Voters in Medina and across Ohio will cast ballots on Issue 2 during the May 6 primary election from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.—this statewide polling opportunity is set to guide key ballot decisions.  WKYC
