- ➤ Medina County Park District will reopen the Chippewa Lake Birding and Bridle Trail at Ballash Road along with the Paddlecraft Launch on Lake Road on Friday, and both sites will remain open through October for birding, horseback riding, and paddling. Cleveland.com
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Councilor Lamb and city officials reviewed deer management practices from Parma and Mentor on April 27 to plan a strategy for reducing deer-related property damage and accidents in Medina. Officials will schedule another meeting when their research is complete (data from previous programs was also considered). Cleveland.com
- ➤ Medina Police Department earned state recognition when it received the Outstanding Agency Award on April 15 at the Pathways to Excellence event; Chief Ed Kinney, Lt. Brian Wagner, and the staff were commended by Mayor Jim Shields for reinforcing community trust and enhancing grant eligibility. Cleveland.com
