- ➤ Medina Superintendent Aaron Sable warned that the new state budget proposal will cut $1.5 million in funding from Medina City Schools and cause a loss of $13 million in local revenue while capping carryover funds, which will force more frequent ballot levies to support school programs. Sable urged residents to contact state officials as lawmakers work to complete the budget plan by June 30. Cleveland.com
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Mike DeWine said Monday that youth in need will soon get quicker mental health help with MRSS. The free service will send trained workers in less than 60 minutes to schools, homes or playgrounds — it will be available in all 88 counties and offer up to six weeks of follow-up care. WKYC

- ➤ Jeremiah Kelly, an 18-year-old Avon High graduate and early enrollee with University of Cincinnati's Bearcats football team, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday morning—he had begun practicing with the Bearcats this spring after earning several honors in high school. The Bearcats and Avon communities now mourn his loss and remember his role in leading Avon to its first state championship. WKYC
