- ➤ Twenty-nine Medina County high school seniors attended a formal Leadership Tea on April 13th at Miss Molly’s Tea Room — they collected cereal boxes from local schools and community centers — and their Leadership Ball will be held on April 26 at Weymouth Country Club — proceeds will support Feeding Medina County — to benefit local food assistance. - ➤ Today, the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities said the mobile changing station that served about 260 people with mobility issues last year will return to community events this year. The service cost $130,000 in American Rescue funds to cover eight events last year and offers accessible features—such as an adjustable changing table—to aid visitors, and it will continue as long as funding remains available. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Ohio State Highway Patrol pursued a driver who was clocked over 100 mph early Monday along I-71 in Medina County — the chase ended in a crash on the northbound ramp when the driver ran across the highway and has not been located. FOX 8
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Sixteen Medina County high school students were honored at a breakfast event at Williams on the Lake on April 11, with two students recognized from each high school and community leader Dr. Kristine Quallich also celebrated for her work with local youth. The Medina County SHARE Coalition organized the event with support from local health officials and police to promote healthy choices and leadership among students. Cleveland.com
