St. Ambrose-based Boy Scout Troop 513 earned the Pope St. Paul VI National Catholic Unit Excellence Award from the National Catholic Committee on Scouting for leadership, service, and faith integration.
The troop will be honored at 2:30 p.m. May 3 at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral in Cleveland.
Kevin Hines (suicide attempt survivor) is set to speak at Tri-C to share his 'Be Here Tomorrow' message and personal journey with hope.
He survived a jump off the Golden Gate Bridge in 2000 and plans to inspire the local audience with his story.
