Donut Land will move from 1321 Pearl Road to the former Rite Aid building at 3871 Center Road this summer, expanding its space sixfold.

Owner Amanda Rienerth (a longtime staple) said the upgrades include new sinks and a party room and that the shop will open mid-summer.

Sérénité Restaurant has reopened today in Medina after an eight-month closure due to financial struggles, and board president Tony Bianco restructured its operations to support workforce training and recovery initiatives — streamlining the menu and partnering with local groups.

Last fall, Kent State University named 8779 full-time students to the Dean’s List for earning a 3.40 GPA, including several local Medina students.

Local graduates also received honors on the President’s List and at University of Maryland Global Campus and Baldwin Wallace University, celebrating strong academic achievement.
