The Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance will celebrate its 10th anniversary on March 26 with an event presented by Huntington National Bank.
Formed by merging the Brunswick and Valley City Chambers, the alliance has strengthened local business ties in Brunswick, Brunswick Hills, Hinckley, and Valley City (boosting regional growth).
🎭 Culture
The 32nd Medina Ice Festival is underway downtown and in South Town with over 120 hand-carved ice sculptures, live carving contests, and the Fire and Ice Tower.
The festival started Friday with carving rounds (5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m.) and competitions will continue Saturday and Sunday (noon to 5 p.m.).
🎓 Education
Medina County college students earned Fall 2025 academic honors at multiple institutions.
Local students at Ohio University were named to the Dean’s, Provost’s and President’s lists, and honorees from Medina received recognition from Upper Iowa University, the University of Mississippi + the University of Tampa.
