Medina County Park District has a full calendar of free indoor and outdoor programs for all ages in February.

Participants can join a fossils drop-in at Oenslager Nature Center on Feb. 1 & a Healthy Dose of Nature hike, with some events needing early registration.

Medina High School will offer new courses next school year based on eight in-demand career paths — the district plans to add an AP business and personal finance course, a hybrid government course, a true crime course, and a sports officiating class while phasing out less popular options.

Vitalant is hosting mobile blood drives on Jan. 22 in Independence and Oberlin, and on Jan. 28 in Sheffield Lake for eligible donors to help save lives.
