About this event

Instructor: Shaun C. | For ages 12+

We've put together the perfect date night for you and your partner to ring in the holiday season. Join us in the studio on this Friday evening where you'll work together to build your own charcuterie board! All of the needed clay, tools, and materials will be provided and you'll be guided through the steps needed to turn your slab of clay into a gorgeous board by our instructor, Shaun. You'll be able to make your one-of-a-kind board to hold and display your favorite things to include in your charcuterie boards. You'll create space and labels for your favorite cheeses, olives, jams, nuts, veggies, and fruit! This workshop is designed as an experience- admission is priced per couple, you'll create 1 board together with two (2) charcuterie cups provided per couple!

This is a Project-based Workshop . This workshop will cover the techniques required for makers to build a specific project. Due to the nature of this type of class, we may not cover every skill required to handbuild your own projects in the future. Interested in learning more pottery skills? We recommend taking one of our skill-based workshops or courses. Note: This workshop does include time to individualize your piece with Stroke & Coat glazes.

Starter makers are just beginning their journey. Whether wheel throwing or handbuilding—they’re just trying it out for the first time and just introducing ceramics into their wheelhouse. Learn more about the Maker's Journey here .

No partial refunds or make-up instruction will be provided if class is missed. Please make sure you are available before registering. Please wear clothes you’re okay with getting messy and plan to remove all jewelry. Long hair will need to be pulled back and short nails are recommended.

Ceramics can be an unpredictable art. As the saying goes, "You can't love a piece until it comes out of the final firing". We put love and care into every piece that is made in our studio, but some things we can't control. We hope that you enjoy the experience of learning to create pottery and kiln gods willing, fall in love with your finished piece, but we cannot guarantee the functionality or final outcome of your piece. Promotional photos use pieces that have been created by professional potters—class results may vary based on skill level.
