About this event

As more faculty turn to community-engaged practices or consider working with new communities and audiences, Jo Line, Program Director of Community-Engaged Research and Learning will explore what ethical community engagement means at Oberlin. Grounded in the frameworks and principles defined by the Bonner Center, this conversation and workshop will provide attendees with insights into ethical community-partnered practices to inform their own pedagogy and research, while also giving a firsthand preview of the student-facing "Ethical Community Engagement 101" module.

While ideal for Community-Based Learning (CBL) instructors looking to invite Bonner Center staff to lead this turnkey session in their classes, the frameworks discussed will offer valuable blueprints for any faculty or staff member interested in ethical engagement across campus. Instructors, researchers, and staff from all disciplines are invited to join the conversation. This is a collab between the Bonner Center and the Lemle.

Lunch will be served. RSVP to sgutierr@oberlin.edu
